S3 storage is simple, and the simplicity usually stops at raw capacity. Performm adds the parts creative teams actually work with.
S3 is a great back end
S3 storage is affordable and dependable. It is the loft, the garage and the deep archive: excellent for capacity.
What raw S3 leaves out
For a creative team the interface is the problem, not the storage. The tools around a bucket are not built for creative professionals.
- Access and sharing need extra tools and technical knowledge
- Collaboration means yet more logins
- Nothing shows your media the way an editor expects to see it
What a front end adds
Performm layers the missing functions over the cloud or local storage you already have, from one login and one dashboard.
- A dashboard to browse and manage everything you have connected
- Desktop drives, so a bucket appears like any other drive
- Sharing by one link, by email, or with upload links
- Search across every connected location
- Sync between locations, including local media to the cloud
If it speaks S3, it already works
Connect any S3-compatible bucket. Performm connects to 90+ storage providers, and that includes the ones people use most for creative work.
- AWS S3 and other hyperscalers
- Wasabi, Backblaze, Cloudflare R2 and Storj
- S3-compatible storage on your own hardware
- Dropbox, Box, Google Drive, OneDrive and SharePoint alongside them
Your files stay yours
Performm does not move your files into a new home. They stay as standard files in your own bucket, with no proprietary format, so they stay readable whether or not you use Performm.
Add managed storage only if you want it
Use your own bucket, or add Performm managed storage when it helps. There are two optional tiers.
- Global: fast, streaming-ready storage in Los Angeles, New York, London, Frankfurt, Singapore and Sydney. $15 per TB per month, or $10 billed annually. 1 TB is included with every Flow and Teams seat
- Archive: S3-compatible, air-gapped by default, retrievable in close to real time, no egress fees. $4 per TB per month, or $3 billed annually. It is not searchable, by design
Egress fees are waived on Amove-managed storage only. Third-party storage providers may charge their own.
Getting started
Connecting is free.
- Connect your S3 bucket
- See it as a drive on your desktop, or in the browser
- Search it, share from it and sync to it
- Add Flow when you want shared drives and unlimited transfers
Cloud storage works in the browser with nothing to install. Local storage needs the desktop app.

What it means for you
For the creator
Your bucket becomes a drive you can browse, search and share from, without learning a storage console.
For the CFO
No migration and no new storage bill to start. You keep the S3 storage you already pay for, and Performm is free to connect, with shared drives from $20 per user per month.
For the CEO
You keep the infrastructure that works and put a usable front end on it, instead of replacing it.
